  1. Clean raspberry stands cutting out fruited canes, which will not refruit. If suckers have       become unruly, dig up and move to a more suitable location.
  2. Irrigate your growing areas when needed but start tapering off toward the end of august.
  3. Prune back wisteria and other vigorous climbers.
  4. Harvest vegetables frequently and keep fruiting plants well watered.
  5. Fertilize late-flowering plants.
  6. Divide iris and other spring to early summer-flowering perennials and transplant.
  7. Plant fall rye.
  8. Continue feeding plants in containers and hanging baskets; water daily.
  9. Keep up yard maintenance by removing any fallen fruit and dead plant debris.
10. Clean greenhouse.
11. Give late-blooming plants another dose of food.
