| 1. Sow begonias, geraniums and pansies |
| 2. Time to treat deciduous trees and shrubs with a good spray of dormant oil - check for temperatures above 5c. |

| 1. Got bulbs in storage? Keep their surrounding soil barely moist. If tips are showing more than 5 cm, bring them out to a cool but bright room, gradually increasing warmth and indirect sunlight. |
| 2. Trim any dead leaves from houseplants and be sure to catch the ones that may be sitting on top of pot soil which make to convenient a home for pests. |
