1. Lift daffodils and tulips for curing if your beds are getting crowded and they're ready to divide; use bulb dust for disease control and keep somewhere nice and dry until replanting in fall.
2. Harvest herbs and hang in a warm room to dry, or clean and freeze, excluding those, of course, that find their way immediately into the salad or stir-fry!
3. Continue to deadhead those spent flowers (roses, annuals and perennials) to promote more blooms.
4. Check hanging baskets and patio containers daily to ensure proper moisture levels. Continue to feed, and don't forget to feed garden beds.
5. Take the runners off strawberry plants and remove any mother plants that are three years old. Harvest ripened berries.
6. Are the raspberries ready yet? Should be close - watch carefully and harvest before the birds get them!
7. To encourage good fruit development, thin out grapevines.
8. Sow perennial seeds and weed.
9. Spray for insects and mildew, as needed.
