| 1. Give your annuals a balanced feed to keep them in bloom longer. Check out the effective Nurseryland brand of fertilizers at Swan Lake. |
| 2. Those seeds you planted are by now wonderful little seedlings. Time to plant out the tomatoes, zucchini and cucumber. |
| 3. Check with Swan Lake for information on preventative maintenance for roses to keep them free of pests and disease. |
| 4. While you want a happy and healthy garden, you still want to water wisely. Water in the morning and apply mulch around your garden beds to conserve moisture and to keep weeds to a minimum. |
| 5. If you've put in any hedges, remember to keep them well watered. |
| 6. Side dress corn, cauliflower, etc. if needed. 12-16-12 is recommended. |
| 7. Deadhead spent roses, annuals and perennials to promote more blooms. |
| 8. Keep weedin'! Hoe garden if not mulched; otherwise hand weed. |
| 9. Start Roses on a monthly fungicide/insecticide spray schedule, if necessary. Check with Swan Lake for more information on rose seminars, etc. |
| 10. Continue feeding container plants. |
| 11. Feed all annuals once or twice this month. |
| 12. Continue watering bulbs until yellowed leaves can be gently pulled off. |
| 13. Continue adding to your annuals bed; water well. |
| 14. Hill potatoes with soil or mulch. |
