Outdoor Projects
1. Finish planting new trees & shrubs, fall-planted perennials, and bulbs. All plantings must be     complete at least three weeks before first frost.
2. Don't forget to water plants close to the house or under rooflines which won't benefit from     snow melt during winter.
3. Water lawns and garden again. Clean up perennial beds.
4. Cultivate & enrich in those areas you plan to sow in spring.
5. Dig up tender bulbs for storage; apply bulb dust for disease control.
6. Time to harvest the last of the root vegetables and place somewhere cool and dry for winter     storage.
7. Keep leaves raked up to add to your compost.
8. Clear beds of annuals by the end of the month and compost, except for obviously diseased     material which should be disposed of.
