Hydrangea have showy blooms that are 5-6 inches in diameter. Their colour can vary, but are most commonly shades of pink, blue. Hydrangea leaves are usually large, with an attractive texture and dark green colour.
To select a good hydrangea for indoor use, look for a plant with just a few blooms and lots of buds still developing. The plant should fill out the pot with healthy dark green leaves.
While they are in bloom, hydrangeas require daily watering but be careful not to over water. When they finish blooming, reduce the water and do not allow to dry out. When the flower heads turn dark green, carefully snip them off.
