The Local Grown Gala Apple makes a great snacking fruit with it’s delicate sweet flavour. Whats makes this popular variety even special is they are grown right here in the Okanagan.
Gala apples were discovered in 1934 by New Zealand orchardist J.H. Kidd, and are a cross between Golden Delicious and Kidd’s Orange Red, an English favourite. They are grown around the world including right here in the Okanagan, where our’s come from.
